The Fotobus Society, founded by Christoph Bangert, is a network of now more than 700 photographers studying at German and European universities and photography schools. The society offers its members a wide range of cultural and social activities. The core of the community is a 30-year-old coach that regularly drives members to photo festivals, symposia and professional events as a mobile photography school.
The book is the second volume in a series presenting selected works by the members. While the association thrives primarily on exchange within the international photography scene, the current pandemic prevented the usual trips and gatherings. For many, photography proved to be an outlet and a way to communicate with the "outside world". The projects shown therefore also tell of the uncertainty, hope and hardship of the last months. They offer insights into lives and destinies from all over the world by documenting the people and the spaces they live in, or the ideas and concepts they believe in, in a variety of ways.
The Publishers are the Fotobus e.V., the Students them self and Kettler.
